Auction Rules

For the Seller

  1. ALL SALES ARE FINAL! NO EXCEPTIONS!
  2. All persons wishing to Sell items must get a Bidder / Seller Number (Cost $5.00).
  3. Bayside RC Club keeps 10% of the selling price as a fee. Items selling for $5 or less will be considered a donation to Bayside and nothing will be due the seller.
  4. Once your items are registered they MUST BE AUCTIONED.
  5. The seller is entitled to one bid to protect the value of his/her item. If your bid is the highest bid for your item, you have bought back your item and only a $5 presentation fee will be charged for having the item run through the auction.
  6. It is the seller’s responsibility to make their one bid heard by the auctioneer.
  7. The auctioneer will say “Going Once, Going Twice, SOLD!” When he says “SOLD”, the item is gone and no further bids will he accepted. So, pay attention when your item is up for sale.
  8. Save the receipts for the items you are selling. They are the only identification that will be honored by the pay-out person for you to get your money. If you lose them, the money will be mailed to the person identified as the owner on the registration form.
  9. The seller will not be paid until the buyer has paid the club. If you choose to leave early your money will be mailed to you at a fee of $1.00.
  10. An attempt will be made to auction items in registration number order.
  11. OUTSIDE SALES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!

  2. Before arrival, fill out our item listing pre-registration form (one per item) for faster service.
  3. Upon arrival go to seller’s registration area and get your registration forms. Use one form per each item you have to sell. Fill them out COMPLETELY and return to the check in table with the item.
  4. At the check in table, a Bayside worker will place a numerical tag on your items for auction. KEEP YOUR ITEM RECEIPTS!!!!
  5. Bayside workers will place your items onto the display tables.

For the Buyer

  1. ALL SALES ARE FINAL! NO EXCEPTIONS! No item sold has any sort of guarantee or warranty! They are sold “AS IS”!
  2. All persons expecting to bid on items during the course of the auction are required to get a Bidder / Seller number (Cost $5.00).
  3. Sales tax will be charged on each sale.
  4. If you leave, DON’T give someone else your Bidder / Seller number.
  5. Inspect all items you may be interested in PRIOR to start of the auction.
  6. Display area will be closed, during the auctioning periods.
  7. The auctioneer will attempt to describe each item as it comes up for sale to the best of his ability. Descriptive errors are unintentional, but often made.
    • DO NOT BID ON ANY ITEM THAT YOU ARE NOT SURE OF OR THAT YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO TAKE A CHANCE ON!!!
  8. All items are sold “AS IS” with no exceptions. There are NO REFUNDS. No statement made during the course of the auction, by the auctioneer or any auction staff member, as to the condition or desirability will alter this rule.
  9. If you are the successful bidder on an item, wait approx. 10 minutes, then pay the cashier for the item. You will be given a receipt which can be exchanged at the impound area for the item. Buyers are asked to pay for their items PROMPTLY. This is only fair to the seller. (The seller cannot collect his money until you have paid for the item). This also precludes long lines towards the end of the auction.
  10. Failure to pay for any item on which you are high bidder will preclude you from participating in any future Bayside RC Club Auction.
  11. Item damaged in the display area will be purchased by the person responsible for the damage.
